This past September 8th, Sugar Artists Emporium was devastated by the severe flooding that hit northeastern Pennsylvania. Our store received approximately 8 feet of flood water and our inventory and fixtures were a complete loss. After four months of remodeling in the complex, we are finally seeing a light at the end of the tunnel.
We have moved to a different location in the complex. Our new space is double the size of our old store and we have added a permanent classroom as well as restroom facilities. Our new suite numbers are 112 and 113. On Monday morning, January 23rd, at 10 a.m. we will open Suite 113 for business. We are still working on Suite 112 and our new classroom. We hope to have that section of the store open by the end of the month and resume classes the first week of February.
We have not yet received all of our inventory, but we do have cake boxes, drums and pads available as well as fondant, gel paste colors, candy molds, flavorings (cake and candy), cake pans, cookie sheets, cupcake pans, various tools, meringue powder and piping gel. New merchandise is arriving everyday. If you're looking for something in particular, please don't hesitate to call the store before stopping by.
We are looking forward to seeing all our customers over the next few weeks. Valentine's Day and Easter will be right around the corner, so we hope you will stop by for all your decorating supplies.
So glad you are finally opening!!!
